Alvechurch Reiki Booking Terms and Conditions

Terms & Conditions

Treatments :

All Reiki consultations include treatment and consultation time.

I ask for at least 24 hours notice of a cancellation so that the appointment may be offered to another client.  If bookings are cancelled within 24 hours the treatment fee in full may be charged.

Clients under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian who will give their written consent prior to treatment and remain with the child/young person during treatment.

As there is not a supervised waiting area, clients are not permitted to bring children with them, with the exception of babies under 12 months who will be kept with the client during the treatment. The client accepts full responsibility for their baby throughout the treatment and understands that their treatment may be disturbed if their baby does not settle.

General:

Payment for treatments or gift vouchers can be made by Stripe payment, by cash or by bank transfer. Payment is due on completion of treatment (or on purchase of gift voucher(s)). Credit terms are not offered.

Client records are kept in the form of a written client record form or course booking form.  Electronic records are restricted to name, address, telephone and email address.  No client details will be passed on to third party organisations without the specific written request of the client, unless required to do so by law or in order to resolve payment disputes.

When booking a treatment, clients accept that Reiki is a complementary therapy and that they should consult a GP for any known or suspected medical issues. I do not recommend discontinuing any medication or stopping any course of medical treatment. Such decisions should be made in consultation with a qualified GP or relevant medical expert.

I reserve the right to refuse or discontinue treatment of clients at my discretion.

Courses :

1.      You may book a course or workshop either by emailing alvechurchreiki@gmail.com, by calling Helen Cochrane Reiki Master Teacher on 07725013181 or by booking via my bookings page.

2.      Your place is confirmed once the relevant deposit for each course has been received by Alvechurch Reiki, or in the case of a workshop, payment in full, and your place on the booked course is then deemed secure.

3.      Payments can be made directly by Stripe, by bank transfer or by cash. Once the relevant payment has been made, confirmation by email will be sent with this Booking Policy, Terms & Conditions.

4.      There will be a chance to speak to Helen Cochrane Reiki Master Teacher by telephone upon booking any of the courses (Reiki 1, Reiki 2, Reiki Master/teacher) to ensure you feel comfortable with your choice of Helen as your mentor and have any questions that you may have answered. If you decide at this stage not to go ahead within 24 hours of the conversation, Alvechurch Reiki would refund any monies paid, less processing fees if method used incurs charges. After this period, the deposit, which is considered a student’s commitment, is non-refundable and not transferable to another date, except under exceptional circumstances. (Please see Cancellation Terms & Conditions below).  Similarly, payment for workshops is non-refundable and not transferable, except under exceptional circumstances. In all cases, this is at Helen Cochrane’s discretion.

5.      The full balance of all courses is due 28 days before the course date. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that all contact details are up to date by contacting Helen Cochrane via email on alvechurchreiki@gmail.com.

6.      If a student wishes to pay by instalments to help with spreading the cost, Alvechurch Reiki can consider this arrangement and keep a running balance, provided the full balance is settled no later than 28 days before the course date.

Cancellations

1.      Sometimes life happens and interrupts our plans from time to time and this is acknowledged and understood by Alvechurch Reiki. With this in mind, certain conditions have been made and must be understood and agreed to by all parties upon securing the place on a chosen course or workshop.

2.      The course deposit and the workshop payment in full  is totally non-refundable if cancelled by the student. It is also non-transferable to another course/workshop date, unless under extreme and exceptional circumstances. This can only be done once and at the discretion of Alvechurch Reiki.

3. However, if Alvechurch Reiki can fill the space allocated to a student in good time, a full refund can be given less fees. An admin fee to cover any expenses incurred, including any charges incurred by the payment provider (Stripe) may also be deducted from the refunded or transferred deposit.

4. If not attending the course/workshop or changes need to occur, it is expected as far as possible that the student will notify Alvechurch Reiki on 07725013181 at the earliest convenience and in a timely manner.

7.      If a student decides to not attend the course, without prior notification (i.e no show), you will still be liable for the full cost of the course/workshop that you have booked and will be invoiced for the full balance that was due or, if already paid in full, Alvechurch Reiki reserves the right to retain the full balance with no refund due to the student.

8.      In the unlikely event that a course cancellation is due to the fault of Alvechurch Reiki for any of the courses provided, a full refund will be given, or if preferred, transferred to a future course date. In such a case, in unforeseeable circumstances, arrangements will be made to transfer to another available date, and it will be a priority to ensure all due diligence is taken in giving as much notice as possible.

General Terms & Conditions :

  1. It is expected that all students training with Alvechurch Reiki adhere to all the ethical codes of conduct for healthcare practitioners upheld by Alvechurch Reiki, who also reserves the right to suspend or cancel a student’s training without notice if it has been assessed that the student is not fit to practise on the public in future, or other service users when attending any activities that Alvechurch Reiki provides across its venues. This decision will be at Helen Cochrane’s discretion after investigating any complaints or witnessing breaches of ethical guidelines, safeguarding, respect for colleagues, volunteers, staff and peers. Alvechurch Reiki reserves the right to take appropriate action immediately to safeguard all who may be affected if it is deemed a student unfit to practise on others and will report the student and their behaviour to the appropriate bodies. Alvechurch Reiki also reserves the right to share this information with the appropriate governing bodies, including if necessary social services or the police if it is in the interest of protecting others. By a student signing this policy, it is agreed that if this situation were to arise that they must return any prior certification issued by Alvechurch Reiki within 14 days of a written request to do so. The certification will then be null and void and no full or part refund of future fees will be issued to cover costs incurred of any actions which had to be taken as a result of the behaviour.
  2. For the duration of time students are on the private property of any of the activities held with Alvechurch Reiki, no photography is permitted without prior consent of those attending.
